About Wayne K. Maslyk Jr. CFP®
Wayne Maslyk entered the financial services industry in 1995. He has personally
met face to face with over 3000 people over that period. In addition, Wayne has
spoke in small and large group settings to over 10,000 people, teaching them
about financial and estate planning. Wayne enjoys helping folks learn what
mistakes NOT to make and also help them learn what SHOULD be done when getting
their "financial house in order".
Wayne is a
CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™
practitioner. To achieve this "Gold
Standard" in the financial services industry one must qualify through a series
of 6 college courses over a 3 to 5 year period. Then the CFP® applicant must be
approved to sit for the exam which is only given 3 times per year. The CFP® exam
itself is a 2 day, 10 hour exam. The exams passing ratio hovers around 50% for
first time takers and around 40% for those who chose to give it another round
after failing the first time. Sitting and passing the exam is a litmus test
assuring you (the potential client) that you are in good hands. Add the
personality of Wayne and his "teacher's heart" and you will soon understand why
hundreds of people just like you have trusted Wayne to handle their life savings
along with their financial and estate planning needs.
Wayne, his wife Laura, and their 3 boys Nathan 14, Jacob 12, and John (Jack) 10,
reside in Erie County Ohio.
Wayne and his family enjoy boating on Lake Erie, taking vacations and camping
around the country and Canada.
